ABOUT US

We make tools that make work more fun, comfortable, and productive for those who love long nails.

It all started when Sara, our founder, discovered the felt joy of having fun nail extensions. The only problem was typing with them! Sara found that typing with longer nails was super awkward, it was loud, there were a lot of typos and her hands would hurt over time from the unnatural hand positions required

Sara considered going back to short nails, but didn't want to sacrifice her fun manicures! If only there was a solution...how to type with long nails...next thing, Sara created the very first prototype using eraser tips and the rest was history!

Fast forward to 2023 when Sara invented the tippy type. Yes, invented - it's the only product on the market like it (and patent pending!).

Sara knows she's not alone. There are so many others who love long nails but also want to get work done and type well (and comfortably)!

We made tippy type after hearing these common complaints from people who type a lot

The standard keyboards are awful for nails. I try to use keyboards where the keys are flatter - but in all cases I am manipulating my fingers and straightening them out.
I have unconditionally trained myself to type with straight fingers, yes it hurts.
I have had challenges in that I’m typically pressing multiple keys at once on a standard keyboard. Which has led me to try and use the sides of my fingers to type.
The clicking is really annoying, it’s very noisy and crazy sounding.
My current keyboard isn't unusable but it’s very uncomfortable.
A lot of times I won’t bend my fingers they will stay straight and it can be an issue from a speed perspective.
It's tricky, straightening my fingers is tiring, my knuckles will lockup or feel tight, I have to stretch my fingers. It accumulates over time especially if I’m typing non-stop and in a lot of meetings, taking notes more heavily.

What others are saying about using their tippy types

Like whoa! I was truly unsure how a keyboard could be made for nails...reminded me what it was like to type before I had nails. It’s sleek and clean and minimal, pretty seamless.

It is more comfortable, I can curve my fingers!

I love the height of the keys, it’s easier for my hands to rest. When I use keyboards the keys are hard, this is soft and easy to the touch.

Exceeded expectations, overall impressed with the precision and it’s aesthetically so clean.

I got so used to the awkwardness of typing with my nails I forgot what it was like to type without them. This feels so good!

I would definitely bring it everywhere. It’s pretty unassuming. It doesn’t scream I’m a girl with nails and got this for my nails!

NO MORE HAVING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THE NAILS YOU WANT AND BEING ABLE TO TYPE COMFORTABLY AND WELL.
